Send your greetings to Cool Radio Baloi DXCM 92.2 MHz. Wherever U Are
This story is written by Bob Ong entitled Mac-Arthur. I don't know why is the title like that! But it tells how a young boy turned from drug addiction into a good son and a friend. I would say, I cried a river not because I am an addict but it hurts me that I could do nothing.
The young boy is from a well-off family, have a sister taking up nursing course, mother who loves him blindly, a father who wants to provide his family. However, a friends who dragged him into the life of drug addiction. I would not solely blame the friends because the friends show him the life outside the four corners of his home and school. He is a secondary student in a school who provides quality education. but education is enough guarantee to be a good individuals? i don't think so. He was so love by his parent that he was not sent to jail because of robbing his own home. Is love enough to make you a better person? I don't think so. He has friends, friends who does not go to school but working to earn money for family needs, a sick grandfather, a wife and a child. Are friends enough to make you realize what is life?Maybe yes! Why?why not the family?
The young boy draw up his dark life into the light when he had witnessed how his friend shot his grandfather. His friend thought that his grandfather is a monster or evil that he will eat him. Poor sick grandfather, shot by his own grandson whom he feed and care for long for the thought that he is a monster. And that is because of a prohibited drugs. Is it fair to blame the young boy's friend? the abused substance?the manufacturer?the pusher?the government? or the firends? In my opinion, everyone should be blame. Everyone has been part of it, directly or indirectly.
No one told him to stop taking the illegal substance yet he decided to end it. A miracle! But is it fair that someone have to die just to make up your mind and tell your self that it will not help you at all?It is like a 1:1., 1 life ended, 1 life saved.(out with the old, in with the young).Would it should be like that to make you change for the better? Is it worth it? i must say it should not be like that at all.
No one should be eliminated in that way. Young and old must be hand in hand for a better life, a better place to live, and a better world for all humankind. It must not come to a point that each of us is blaming someone or something for the life of an individual that was lost. Don't wait for a tragic event to knock at your door and wake you up from a deep yet full of nightmare sleep. Help yourself. This world is a self-service establishment. Live a life that at the end of the day, you can be proud of yourself because you did not serve as a dirt to be discarded in the table. Instead, you have been the platter with bountiful viand serve in this place of humankind. JUST DO IT! NOW!
