Survey on the results of the senatorial bets

Maranao online jointly with Mindanaoforum.com will lunch a survey on the results of the just concluded elections in the Philippines particularly the senatorial bets.

According to the Comelec, none of the four Muslims candidates won in the poll despite their commendable qualifications, talent and presentable personalities like Atty Adel Tamano, so far as tally is concerned until now.

We would like to have a thorough study and analyze the causes of the disappointing results to address properly the issue to the new administration attention.

We invite all brother Muslim to participate in the survey by answering the following questionnaire below:

What are the reasons behind their defeat: It is because they lack:

- Sufficient experience
- Degree qualification
- Adequate finance
- Mass support
- Popularity
- Or because of their religion affiliation.

The President-elect Noy-Noy Aquino,a graduated congressman and a senator with no exemplary records both house (lower and upper) but he won by a landslide victory because of the transmission of Posterity,Legacy and Dynasty of his Family and Parents and his FLATFORM FOR CHANGE that is to restore the Political,Economic and Social turmoil of our country.

With respect to all Baloinians who made their comments, views and analysis to the results of the recent national election for senators in particular which resulted that for muslims candidates were failed landed top no.1-12.

So, may allow me to compliment and suppliment your ideas and ideals through internate discussion that the major reason behind the defeat of the certain four muslims candidates were LACK OF SUFFICIENT EXPERIENCE such as Political Experience. As such, being a candidate to the national race particularly, Senatoriable you must have/had experienced of being elected in local position at least; and with charisma, exemplary records and performances in the past that could alleviate you into a Towering National Figure. Affiliate or line-up certain well established party with unified front, Perchcievable governance flatform that are acceptable to the majority, Capable of National Financial Campaign, and above all National Political Machinery that could protect cheating and manipulation of election results against its candidates, but in favor instead.

Last but not the least, The hidden secret that we must be pondered is that why muslim candidates will not be able to Win in the national election for senatoriable in particular is that: As since the strong central Government in Manila had amended the elction for senators that top no.1-12 of the 24 senators won would serve 6-year term while top no.13-24 would serve 3-year term as then the preceeding election would only 12 senators be won with 6-year term to fill and complete 24 senators and the election for 12 senators became every three years and this is the most destructive trick ever had against the Muslim Mindanao to extract our right to have representative(s) in the upper house, the senate. Needless to state, during the time of late senator MAMINTAL TAMANO he was landed between top no.22-24 during election but he won while ADEL TAMANO was landed to top no.22 but he deserved lost and senator SANTANINA RAZUL landed top no.17 in her second term but she deserved lost this is because of the amendment of the senatorial election.

We urge and appeal to our Muslim Mindanao leaders to have unified front to use their political powers to amend the election for senators to vote 24 senators at the time for the next elections to come so as to return our right to have representative in the senate. Unless otherwise election for amendment for senators be granted, I pressumed that difinitely as of present generation and as of time being there will be no muslim candidates for senators will be landed from top no.1-12 no matter how is he/she,Who is he/she, and What is he/she.

On my own opinion;

Popularity doesn't make a politician win. There are many popular candidates but failed. A lot of factors should be considered why they loss in politics. It couldn't be one. Let us look on our brother Adel Tamano who ran for Senator. Is he not popular? Yes, he is very popular nowadays in our country. He appears on national TV almost everyday for being a legal counsel of some famous personalities in the Philippines.

The factors I see why he loss are Inadequate Finance and Religion Affiliation. In the Philippines now, political ads in TV play a major role to win the race of a national candidate. A national candidate must have the means in exposing his political ads on national TV everyday of the campaign period. If a national candidate does not have that, it is more likely for him to loss in the election. Politics now in the Philippines is more on money scheme. Look at our motherland Baloi, does she fit in that scheme?

Secondly, it is the Religion Affiliation that should also be considered. In Pinas, Christians are the majority while Muslims are the minority. Ponder on this: when we are already inside our voting precincts and about to pick our Senatoriables in our official ballot, we just randomize it by picking the Muslim names in the list of Senatoriables, don't we? So if your answer is YES, a Muslim candidate in a national position will only get the votes of the minority.

Thanks and salaam to all.

Salam ko Kakami nagowamibo Aleem/Journalist,

What can I say they should be exposing to the whole country. I don’t think religion become the first obstacle because all candidates that battle for the position in presidential office are having different belief, and if we will blame religion on this race, I think no one will win in any senates position.

What I’ve seen in this situation are qualification and experiences, as well as probabilities as Ms. Samira has just said. Thought those Muslims candidates have done many projects that does help people in Mindanao or in Philippines, I don’t think this was take note by the people of the Philippines,

If you wanna race for the higher position in Philippines government you must start exposing yourself in the TV, and have accurate contact inside the two huge communication station in the Philippines, and if possible sign for a contract with them so that they can expose your good deeds, and close your impious characteristic. Hahaha!

Are those Muslim candidates knows how to sacrifice?

They (Muslim Candidates) only flutter around Philippines during election but right before the election they know nothing about the Philippines.

Guys this is only my best surmise ha! Don’t take it seriously.

Well, what can I say, if I were those who have a big dream for a big position in the Philippines and wanna be place her/his name in the list of the history of the Philippines you may now start engraving your name to the hearts, and mind of our Christian Sisters, and brothers to prove that the Philippines need a man like you!

This is so called as Popularity in a manner that will suits the demand of every living Filipino around the world!

Dear brothers and sisters,

I value every single word you share with us in this open discussions. I sincerely thank you all not only for your valuable ideas and suggestions but also for your constructive perspectives. As we notice here we are now discovering more bright and promising comments among new blood community. I still receive in-depth analysis and thought through my email addresses and my personal facebook using English, Arabic, Tagalog and our own vernacular.

Our survey in Maranao Online is showing good result. We wish to give more time for others to secure considerable number of participants.

Once again, I would like to remind all that this is merely open discussion, wherein we can express our ideas and views on this particular issue based on freedom of speech applied in the Philippines.

This also aims to unify the Muslims ranks, associations, non-governmental organizations (NGO) locally and abroad to have an unified voice as much as possible that could be submitted to the elected administration. SPMUDA, IMEF, UBC, PHILSAC, FEMAS and many others group could be strong instrument for this endeavor.

Thanks,

RELIGION AFFILIATION.

The reasons are:

1. Mass Support and;
2. Religion Affiliation
Comment by Hafez® Usman Sinal on May 21, 2010 at 3:21am

Kung pag babasihan mo yong number of Regestered voter and number of Actual casted Votes na ang layo.

Sampe lang natin dito sa Baloi.
25,404 regestered voters
14,793 actual casted votes

Dpat no comment lang siya or theres a lot of way naman to avoid that question.

With regards in the losing part of the muslims senatorial candidates during those recent election, despite of their being highly qualified to perched in that position and still they could not have make it. In my little knowledge when it comes to politics, I could say that there are 2 simple reasons above i would choose, first the mass support because we all have known that we are outnumbered over the christian populace, second was because of their religion affiliation. As you have noticed i prefer to used simple reasons rather than main/chief reasons,It is because i believe that there were some main/chief reasons this far. the prime reasons,we muslims as a whole in mindanao have lack of unity, to some have lack of trust from their leader and the worst one is the negative stereotype addressed to us by the christians like kidnappers, killers etc.

Lastly, hoping that the next aspirant leader for the national must have a deep awareness or concerns first to the problems of his very own rootland, cause no offense for our aspirant leader for national, i may can say that some of them doesnt even knew the existince problems of his own land. the success of being a true leader started from his ownself/home
